Freshly refurbished in February 2025, our hotel features a fully stocked sea-view bar and the Gardens Bistro, serving breakfast and evening meals with a focus on hearty, locally sourced British cuisine. Weโre seeking a dedicated Chef to join our kitchen team and elevate our dining experience.
Role Overview
As a Full Time Chef, you will play a key role in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes for our guests. You will work under the guidance of General Manager collaborating with a dedicated team to deliver memorable dining experiences. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and ambitious chef to grow their career in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook dishes to a high standard, adhering to menu specifications and food safety regulations.
Contribute to menu development, incorporating seasonal and local ingredients.
Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment in compliance with hygiene standards.
Manage inventory, minimise waste, and assist with stock ordering.
Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as needed.
Adapt to varying service demands, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 yearsโ experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a hotel or restaurant.
Strong knowledge of British and local cuisine.
Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene certification (or equivalent).
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
Passion for fresh, sustainable ingredients and creative plating techniques.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
