Location: Northstead Community Primary School, Scarborough Contract: Permanent

Pay: Grade CD, ยฃ12.85 – ยฃ13.47 per hour

Hours/ Working Pattern: 5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (7:35am โ€“ 8:35am) Term Time Only

Our Opportunityย  ย 

We are looking for a Breakfast Club Assistant to join our friendly team. You will set-up and lead engaging โ€“ yet calm – activities that help transition our pupils into the school day.ย 

Key Duties:

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย  Work alongside the breakfast club leader to maintain a register of children

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย  Prepare and provide a healthy Breakfast/snacks/refreshments to the children following food hygiene practices, and clean up afterwards

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย  Prepare and set up room as required

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย  Administer basic first aid as required

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย  Undertake the personal care of children as required, including toileting, dressing, sickness

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย  Ensure the children and young persons are supervised at all times Essential Qualifications

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย  Literacy skills for accurate record keeping You will have:

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย  An understanding of and commitment to the provision of good quality childcare

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย  An understanding of food hygiene rules

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย  Health & safety knowledge, including lifting and handling and fire prevention

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย  A sound understanding of safeguarding procedures

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย  Knowledge of healthy eating

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย  Some experience of working with children in a play work or educational setting
